Category 1 attack-type dogs (Staffordshire Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier types, Mastiff (Boerboel) types and Tosa types) are not carried in the cabin, hold or cargo, and category 2 dogs (pedigree Staffordshire Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers and Tosas, and Rottweiler types) travel by cargo only. Snub-nosed dogs and cats are not allowed in the hold, and Pug, Bulldog and Boston Terrier dogs are no longer accepted as cargo either.

Summary
Dogs up to 8 kg including carrier can fly in the cabin, and dogs up to 75 kg including kennel in the hold; dogs must be at least 15 weeks old (8 weeks within metropolitan France and to Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion Island). Cabin fees run from EUR 70 to EUR 200 one way (up to EUR/USD/CAD 250 on US and Canada routes), hold fees from EUR 100 to EUR 400 (EUR/USD/CAD 600 to 750 on US and Canada routes). Snub-nosed breeds are not allowed in the hold and category 1 attack dogs are not carried at all. Until further notice, pets can only travel to the United Kingdom, Dubai and Abu Dhabi as cargo.
Only soft bags that fit easily under the seat in front are accepted. The carrier must be closed and well ventilated.
Cats and dogs weighing more than 8 kg and up to 75 kg including the kennel must travel in the hold; travel is also possible by cargo via an authorized transporter. Kennels can be purchased on the Air France Shopping website.
