Brachycephalic and snub-nosed dogs (including Bulldogs, Boxer, Pug, Shih Tzu, Boston Terrier) plus strong or dangerous breeds (Pit Bull and Staffordshire types, Mastiffs, Dogo Argentino, Tosa, Cane Corso-type Presa Canario) are banned as checked baggage, as are brachycephalic cat breeds such as Persian, Himalayan, Exotic Shorthair, British Shorthair, Burmese and Scottish Fold.

Only cats and dogs are carried, and solely in the temperature-controlled hold as checked baggage on the same flight; there is no cabin option. The combined pet and container weight must not exceed 32 kg, otherwise travel must be arranged through a cargo agent. Many brachycephalic dog and cat breeds plus strong or dangerous dog breeds are prohibited, and pets are not accepted on Boeing 737 flights or certain routes. Fees apply as additional baggage with no pre-paid or discounted rates.
Container must meet IATA standards; maximum height depends on aircraft: 70cm on A350, 60cm on A380, 101cm on B777 and 111cm on B787. Length and width are based on the pet's size. If the combined weight of pet(s) and container exceeds 32kg, carriage must be arranged via a cargo agent. Pets cannot be carried on Boeing 737 flights or on SQ21 and SQ23.
