Breed restriction details

Starting 26 October 2025, brachycephalic breeds (dogs and cats) can no longer be booked or transported in the hold; the IATA-listed brachycephalic breeds include French Bulldog, Boxer, Pug, Bulldog, Shih Tzu, Boston Terrier, and many others. Brachycephalic breeds may still travel in the cabin. From 1 December 2025, only dogs and cats are accepted in cabin (PETC) and hold (AVIH).

Notes

Dogs and cats up to 8 kg including carrier allowed in cabin on international flights, and up to 12 kg on domestic flights; carrier must not exceed 55 x 40 x 23 cm. A Large Dog On Board service carries dogs up to 30 kg in the cabin on selected domestic routes. Larger animals travel in the hold, but brachycephalic breeds are barred from the hold from 26 October 2025. Fees vary by weight, route, and travel class and must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
